Langar Sewa – Nourishing the Body and Soul
Langar Sewa is a tradition deeply rooted in Sikhism, where food is served to all, irrespective of their caste, creed, or religion. At Amrit Vela Amrit Trust, we continue this sacred tradition by organizing Langar services that feed the hungry, offering nourishing meals with love and care.
We believe that no one should go to bed hungry, and our volunteers work tirelessly to prepare and serve food to people from all walks of life. These langars are organized not only during special occasions but also on a daily basis, to ensure that food reaches those who need it the most.
Our Langar Services Include:
Serving Langar goes beyond just food; it brings people together, fosters a sense of community, and cultivates a spirit of unity and equality. Our volunteers, working selflessly, ensure that every meal is prepared with love and given in the spirit of Sewa (selfless service).
Langar Sewa, a tradition deeply embedded in Sikhism, refers to the act of providing free meals to anyone in need, regardless of their background or status.
Amrit Vela Amrit Trust believes that education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for transformation.
In line with its mission of service, Amrit Vela Amrit Trust also provides healthcare services for the elderly and the poor.
